Without Goose’s death, Mav would have just been some awesome hotshot that p0wned the bad guy, got the girl and slapped Val Kilmer’s ass (which apparently is not gay as long as you’re Playing With The Boys).

He needed the fear, and sadly his cohort’s untimely demise was the best way to accomplish that.

Still a great movie. Must go dig out the tape, and find myself a vcr.
